Mrs. Richard is originally from West Virginia. She received her Bachelors degree from West Virginia University for Agriculture and Extension Education. She also holds a Masters degree, also from West Virginia University, in Agriculture. She got her first professional employment opportunity through Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service as a 4-H Youth Development and Agriculture Extension Educator in Southwest Indiana.
She then started her teaching career at Heritage Hills High School where she taught for three years before coming to Castle High School in the fall of 2017. She resides in Santa Claus, Indiana with her husband Michael and their son Warren (Age 5). Prior to COVID-19 they spent their spare time making memories visiting fun and exciting places with Warren like CMoE, Dubois Bombers baseball games, local parks and going to the movies. Over the summer they spent most of their time going for hikes and swimming at the lake.
